Homeowners from the Pointe Meadows neighborhood met on Friday, January 30, 2009 for our first community meeting since we homeowners were given control of our HOA. During the meeting, the budget for 2009 was presented, a very productive Q&A session was held, and the homeowners elected two new members—Mindy McKnight and Martha Spoor—to serve on the HOA board. We also got to hear from Mark Johnson of the Lehi City Council. We want to thank everyone who participated. A lot of great information and feedback was shared during the meeting.
We also want to thank Councilman Mark Johnson for taking time out of his schedule to come and answer questions and speak to issues which concern our neighborhood. As many of you may already know, Councilman Johnson has been a strong advocate for our neighborhood. He was integral in finding a solution to the water staining issue which plagued our neighborhood the summer before last; and has been an excellent ally in negotiating on behalf of our community the postponement (and potential rejection) of UDOT’s proposed freeway project on 2300 West.
One concern in particular that many at the meeting inquired about was snow removal. Councilman Johnson gave an excellent overview about what Lehi City is doing to keep the roads plowed. He also shared some feedback on how we as citizens can help the city to keep the streets clear of snow. The most important thing we can do is honor the city ordinance of not parking vehicles overnight on city streets during heavy snowfall.
